you can do it with fraps, which has a free version here: fraps
here is a video i made with fraps and windows live essentials back when i was in 420gaming, Fraps is an awesome tool for gaming.

or the print screen button on your keyboard and then open paint and hit ctrl+v and it will paste the screen shot of entire screen, so if you play in windowed mode, you will have to crop it to just the game.

Press f12 to take a screenshot in game. And then go to Program Files - Steam - userdata - .... (bunch of numbers, depends) - remote - ... - screenshots. This is where the Steam screenshots are located.

ok i know that fury, but ive disabled steams screenshots because f12 is the console button and when you take a screen shot all you get is the console log....I have an idea though to change that f12 button in america's army..and I will also try lifes suggestion..lol nice pic life...

F12 is console button for me as well, but the console is not visible on the screenshots.. It takes a screenshot BEFORE the console opens up.

well, when I take a screenshot it always shows this black panel from the console. The sad part is... I've looked in my aa3 folders, and have had several good clean screenshots saved. But I have no idea, when they are from or how they got there..

SO FRAPS SEEMS LIKE A good alternative for screenshots..you can take movie clips from in game also pretty kool so I can show my ultimate awesomeness..hahaa.. but how in the hell do you people add a screenshot to this forum??

save the screenshot to a hosting site like photobucket or something, then use the image button on top of the text area and insert the url to the image.
