How 'bout a Rooney on your team? (application)

Hey gang!

I was lurking on a server and found MajorDEA. We seemed to work well together whether working in large groups or only two per side. As the night wore on, SgtLane dropped in and it was 2v1 and we had a blast (even if it was my first time on Impact AND Major was cheating...)

My name is Rooney, I'm 39 and I'm from Central Florida. I work at Universal Studios as a Team Leader/Animation Show Control. I also design/build animatronic figures and their show control systems and I have been doing so for over 17 years. You may have seen some of my stuff if you've seen a Rainforest Cafe or T-Rex Cafe or any number of other places.

I started playing AA2 back in 2003 and now I'm on to AA3. The clan I was with previously was a great group of guys (and one girl) from Australia, UK and USA. We played to have fun because that's what it's all about. Sure, we did have some serious RISK leagues but it was all about enjoying the game. The best part of being with that crew was that we were all involved with each other's lives - even if only virtually. We shared family news, professional news, births, deaths, weddings, sickness, recovery and more. Heck, we even had a teenager who was a regular on our server who gave us a violin recital on our TeamSpeak server! He was so proud of his accomplishment and we were happy to share in his joy with him. It was a good bunch of good people and we all still keep in touch though we're not playing together any longer.

I'm looking for the same thing - a good group that has fun, works to make each other better and works to relax and enjoy life. I like the idea of a community with whom I can relate and share in life the same way. Based on the I experienced I had tonight with MajorDEA and SgtLane tonight, the FORCE clan is spot on.

And Star Wars? HELL YEAH!

As for other stuff, I have a mic and I dig TWL. As I mentioned, we set up and ran a RISK league for a couple of years. It involved 8 clans and worked much like the board game but you had to battle 7v7 on maps to take territories. It was a blast! I was a server admin for the RAM clan and I'm an all-around geek so websites are one of my hobbies.

I look forward to "meeting" other -FORCE- clan members and hope to make a good impression.

Best regards,

Thomas "Rooney" Panzella

So first of all welcome to the FORCE it's always nice to see that there are people who are interested in the clan.
We REALY have to play together soon and in case you are wondering that you won't meet that much members online in these days it's simply because it summer and many just don't play that much
So hope to see you soon to play a few (hopefully) challenging and nice matches .

Thanks Hawk. I completely understand about it being summer. Again, it's not my first dance. Summertime always presents challenges in keeping members engaged with the clan.

Again, thanks and I look forward to catching up with you.

Thanks for the kind words SgtLane.

Pumba, I was part of the Royal Allied Mercenaries - a group of Aussies, Brits and a bunch of us in the good ol' US of A. There was nothing bad that happened to the clan, we all just had "life happen" at the same time (over a summer) and never really got back together. Back then we were playing AA2 and SF Hospital was "our" map. SgtLane and Dea introduced me to Impact the other night and I'm really liking it and looking forward to fragging some more there.
