How to take a screenshot

It's simple, st0ners and st0nettes, while in game simply press F9 when you want to take a screenshot, and then go to your unrealtournament folder, and look for a filename something along the lines of "shot001" and so on and so forth....those are your screenshtos. It's simple, and effective.

the reason I say this is because i want some good pics of all 420 members, I plan on building a website for our anticlan...and some basic info on each player. I'd like power to help me with the info because he's good at BS-ing lol.

So, in a day or two i will also post a thread in here on how to post them on this forum....it's probably easiest to make a photobucket account which is free (photobucket.com) and upload them there, then just post the direct link here and they should show up, i'll explain in further detail later.

[ hello *extremely* !]
if u use xfire - u also can take ss by pressing scroll-s (by default). all them will appear after game to let u decide if to upload them, store locally or delete.
[ ur choice anyway :]
post images here is simple. when u post, take a look to 'image' button. only thing u need - enter a link where ss is located. as an option - to store them on xfire.

UPD: outtimed

I was thinking, if you need screencaps Oathy, could we set the server up to spectate and have you take pics of us in action? You'd control the camera so I bet they would look pretty good and be better representations than the static shots most people wait and take at the end of a match. Plus you'd have them right on your machine for the site building you're working on.

About the same as the difference between .jpg and wmv. or .avi . One is a picture One is a Movie.
To Take a screenshot in game just press f9, It is better in spectate mode because your guns dont show...

To take a video :
Open your in game consol and use the following commands.
DEMOPLAY [demoname] - Plays the specified demo
DEMOPLAY [demoname] - [?noframecap][?timebased][?3rdperson]
Play a recorded demo. noframecap plays the demo back as fast as possible. This option is assumed if timedemo 1 is enabled. timebased gives a smoother playback if the playback machine is significantly slower than the recording machine. 3rdperson lets you fly around a first person demo as a spectator. eg demoplay mydemo?3rdperson?timebased
DEMOREC [demoname] - Records a demo using the demoname you type
STOPDEMO - Stop recording a demo

[demoname] = whatever you want to call it. example: DEMOREC VID1

Both show up in your UT system folder.

YOU CAN TAKE SCREENSHOTS FROM THE DEMO.

I haven't played with the demorec stuff in years, but this post got me curious and I've been screwing around with it.
The only way I found to make like a wmv format video is to recors the demo, play it back with a screen capture program on "I used SNAG IT" to save it to an avi file, record your video, edit and save with windows movie maker.

All said and done it looks like crap and has no sound..:[

Maybe if I get some time I will screw around and try and tweak my capture program and make something. Maybe I can figure a way to loop it back after I run it through my vid card?

If anybody really wants to get serious about making a movie check out this program:http://www.utzone.de/include.php?contentid=5119&path=content/download.php

To clarify, I was talking about Oath taking pictures of us playing, not making moving pictures/video.

Don't worry about it, guyz, I'll set up some bots here at home, spec them and see if F9 works. Once I look in my UT folder I'll know if it did, but I don't see why it wouldn't unless there was some arbitrary disabling of the screenshot feature.

xfire also able to record videos, on pcs better than mine though.
demos seems better option, cuz no lag & less mbs to store.
screens are not able to show much, except landscape.

Xfire definitely looks pimpin. I'd heard of it in passing before, but I'm very impressed knowing now what it can really do.

I just thought my idea might save us having to send O the pics, plus give him editorial control in taking them personally. But it's all good, I've got screencaps of 45 wins since I came back this week, which seems a bit much to post. I guess I could put some on bucket or imagecrack and throw em on here.
