I think it would be nice to setup a special event schedule. Start off with a single day a week whereby running the highest voted idea(s).

For example:
It could be decided that we run this special event every Tuesday. So a permanent message would be placed on the running server stating "Tuesday Special: __________". This would alert current players of the forthcoming event, so hopefully they would come on and take part.

The special event could be anything from a different game mode, a run on premium modes / maps, mega "Rush", "Scavenger" Salvage, whatever. Members could come up with ideas and or vote for what they would like to see.

Then next week maybe something different, depending on ideas and votes.
