The long and tough period that last 4 months, came to it's end!

It included two phases of operations, followed by very heavy fightings over the controlling key-sectors of the Libya map, (september 2012 - january 2013: mostly equivalent to the historical dates, 73 years ago, when British forses pushed the Italyans up to Benghazi)


The Results:

The Axis forces - the 10-th Italian Army - were finally defeated by the Allies.

Allies secured the routes, that connect the Mediterranian main coastal route and the southern edge of the "Libyan Plato" and the "Qatara Depression", including the oilfields of that area - west to El-Alamein.

The Italian Army had no choice, but to retreat from these routes to west, as their casualties were too numerous, and no more forces/suplies remained to hold their positions at the coastal towns at North: Mersa-Matruh, Sollum, Tobruk, and the town of Ja'abub and Siwa Oasis at the South...
