There are two sets of requirements to join Arma Air Assault. One are the technical standards and the other is all about attitude.
The technical side is easy, put, we only ask the following; Arma 2 Combined Operations (Arma 2 and Operation Arrowhead) Microphone Reliable Internet connection Maturity No dual-clanning (you can’t be a member of AAA while in another Arma online gaming group) We have suggestions that will improve your gaming experience, but these aren’t mandatory and can be found here. As for the atttude, well those can appear to be harder, but not for the right people. Members need enthusiasm, not just to play the game but to learn how to play it better. The only way any group of individuals can come together and reach the high standards needed to be the best of the best is to practice continously and hard. Arma Air Assault will practice at the Fire Team and Squad level using a variety of methods from walk-throughs to live-fire excercises. This has to be completed with the same passion any mission would. There is a type of attitude we don't want in Arma Air Assault. If you are looking for an organization to give you an online rank and a group of players to boss around, you might want to pass us up. Military rank and practices are enjoyed by AAA for its organization and structure, but no-one expects to be addressed by rank or as ‘sir’ outside of operations. While working within operations, rank is needed to designate command structure and those in charge will be addressed accordingly. Outside of mission and practices, everyone is considered a valued member of the organization and treated as such. By everyone. Many online groups say they require maturity, but Arma Air Assault considers it a necessary quality for our group to reach the high standards we've set for ourselves. Maturity means you have the confidence and ability to support others, help them through thier training and let everyone enjoy the spotlight at some point. Respect comes from maturity and there is an underlining expectation that all our members treat each other accordingly whether in-game, on Teamspeak or in our forums. Anything less will not be tolerated. Maturity leads to meaningful discussions on idea's and direction, both important to grow a quality online gaming group such as Arma Air Assault. Members can be one of two things to Arma Air Assault; Accretive or Dilutive. One means you bring something special to the group, the other means to take away from the organization. There are no prizes for guessing which one we look for.
