Normally, the server is on Adept.
But lately, the difficulty has been set to Average. Monster noticeably became easier. They don't dodge avril, flak, or other projectile-based weapons constantly. Titans seem to throw leading rocks less often. They have poorer aim, slower movement, and their damage is lower. I like it. From what I've seen, everyone's more likely to get to a higher wave than before, strong monsters are still something to fear, and it's possible to run around outside of the base up to wave 13. Most of all, it's nice to have my shots with the flak cannon (and other projectile weapons) hit their targets the majority of the time. It's relaxing! Yes, I think the current difficulty is too easy. I could go outside the base on a level 70-ish adrenaline master on wave 16 and live. Monsters are pretty dumb. Bots are pretty dumb. But I also feel that Adept isn't as fun to me. I don't get that feeling of satisfaction when I shoot the monsters. By now, I'm probably sounding like I want the server to be set to experienced difficulty. I'm not sure. Maybe it should, maybe it shouldn't. The point is that I felt happier playing on an easier difficulty because the monsters felt solid and shootable. What do you guys think? ![]() |

At a level 70, the challenge would still be there but at a level 800+, what challenge? At a level 250, what challenge?
Are you advocating that we keep the server easy? Who's gonna push you to become a better player--no one. Easy servers does no good to anyone. The ideal server difficulty is one the you have a sense of satisfaction when you win a map. Your ideal server should have about a .500/.600 win average. Orson Welles |

personally i felt adept was a bit much. skilled is one notch below adept and would be much better all around for everyone. also, the higher level you are, the higher level the monsters are. so if its just one AM alive at level 70, all monsters are level 70. if there's one level 800 wm alive, then all monsters are level 800. it all gets averaged when more than one player is alive. personally i think monsters could use a health boost, as sometimes they seem really easy to kill. also maybe introduce more high health monsters like the gold and blue ones?

yeah we've been playing average all day today. its way too easy for sure. skilled would most likely be a good idea. if that's still too easy maybe just go back to adept. it really isn't as much fun if there's no real challenge as demon said.
