Did those maps have vehicles on it? Usually, if you tell a bot to 'Hold this position,' they won't go looking for a vehicle, even when they're nearby one, or if you summon one of yours around them. That should do the trick. If you tell them to 'cover you,' they'll still go after vehicles and get in ones that you get in as well.

Those are both VCTF maps, so yes, they have vehicles, and no, I don't plan to remove vehicles from maps. It is annoying when bots tear things up, but they are far less likely to do so if you give the bots orders to hold position somewhere. They won't hog powerups either like they would if they covered you (default behavior is to cover the first player who joins) or were told to search and destroy.

Can they take less (or none) powerups too?

I have been telling the bots to hold position, but lately there seems to be a bit of server lag and the bots drift off position, run around and do stuff un-commanded.

Or the bots just ignore the hold this position command and constantly tell you they have your back and do whatever they like.
