Just on block fort, up top is now out of bounds so the only place to play is in the open, which I cannot do since Jefe reduced the defense sent efficency.

Another map where there is no-where to hide it didn't matter there were 3 engineers on with a base of 9 defense sents, the titans on wave 6 smashed us and it was the end of map.

The server just killed me for invasion continues for being out of bounds running away from titans that were hurling rocks at me.

It's fast becoming that way I have to cycle maps to find 1 where I can set-up a base where it is not "out of bounds" just to play...

I am playing on other servers because I want to play not cycle maps.

Also, on a side note I've noticed at times it is like the monsters have virtually unlimited health, making it almost impossible to kill them. I've sat in a turret shooting a titan for upto 2 - 3 minutes to kill 1, at times. Something seems buggy.

There are two versions of Block Fort... the regular version and the TIR version. The TIR version doesn't have weapons and will count you as out of bounds. You normally won't see TIR (or ONS) maps in invasion, you can't vote for them, but the reboot script will pick them randomly on occasion. I can fix that problem by adding some pickups to the TIR maps so they'll be more playable for INV. I don't mind if you cycle through maps if TIR maps come up. Blockfort and Basketball are the only maps that come in both a TIR and Invasion version.

Also I've noticed that maps crash more often when you play. The reason? Bots in turrets. I thought before the problem was them not having the eject skill, but it seems the server sometimes crashes anyway, whether they have the skill or not. So for the time being at least, don't order your bots into turrets.

There are a couple of causes to the "infinite health" thing. Monster level (and damage reduction) rises based on the level of the last remaining player, this effect becomes noticeable when the lowest level is about level 200, and is especially noticeable in the mini turret because it fires multiple low damage shots. You can be doing as little as 1 damage a shot in a mini turret without triple. Using a ball or energy turret will kill these high level monsters more effectively. This is the main thing you're seeing. We also run a mutator that randomizes monster hp and score both higher and lower, but only by a small amount. These slightly stronger monsters are sometimes the ones left at the end of a wave. The third thing, is that pretty much all engineers use the triple damage artifact while in turret for a reason. It drastically increases your damage output and helps you eliminate strong monsters with damage reduction.

Lastly, don't expect to win every map, especially if you don't have other classes supporting you. The engi class can't take on every map just with defense sents and a mini turret. That doesn't mean open maps aren't worth playing. Some open maps like Megawoot and Romra are popular "Engi Party" maps because they are wide open, challenging, and need a large group to win.

I've actually noticed that if you are the last high level engineer on, you kill monsters faster with magic weapons than with turrets. Not sure why, but probably because for one thing, you don't have linkers since they're all dead, and second, magic weapons always do a minimum percentage damage to monsters. So magic weapons should be a little faster killing monsters if you're the last one alive, even energy and ball turrets.

I had something odd happen on the spacenoxx map, my eng had no link on spawn, I could still summon things like an eng but could not get a link.
