So I recently saw that they are in the process of making a new Unreal Tournament. I am extremely thrilled about that because that has probably been my most favorite game by far when it was in its prime. Anyways, I was wondering after it comes out (whenever that may be) if everything is set up would this server continue on UT14 as well?

We most likely will have a server for the new UT once it is released, or at least when there are some suitable invasion mods available. But I do have one major beef with UT4. It will be free to play, but you have to pay $20 a month to get the editor - so basically the fans who already devote free time to making mods foot the bill for everyone else. It seems ridiculous to pay $240 a year on top of server fees just for the privilege of the editor. I'd MUCH rather they charge a reasonable ONE-TIME price for the game.

I just wish UT3 was more successful. My wife pre-ordered it for me and was a christmas present that year. I still have it loaded, but current video card, being a Quaddro, is not liked by the game and crashes. But, I will need a whole new PC if I wanna play UT4, or any other recent game that I would like as well. But since my time is rather scant, it hasnt been a priority for me. I have many other things I have to take care of, financially, before I drop benjamins on a new rig.

Just so that you know, a Walmart special will run UT3 now.

And it doesn't take much more than that to run UT4.

I realize that. Just I have to get the rest of our bills paid off before I can start saving to move, yet again. Promised my wife if we got all our bills paid off, that I would work on moving us back down to Ga. So that is going to consume me for the next year. That's of course, our investments dont come thru by then. If they do, and good enuf to do so, I will have to leave my current job and our business will take hold and we will be doing that going forward. But that's up in the air with any investment....time will tell.

Can't you just use any editor with ut4?

Sure, you can make assets like models and textures in other programs, but to get anything into the game, you need UT4's editor.

It's a necessity if we intend to make or edit any content for it.
