Ok. I have been fighting this for the last month. Old computer had power supply go out and to repair was more than buying a new bare bones. Problem is I now operate with Windows 10 and have been able to get to the master server but cannot get on to ours. UT2004 works with the campaign so no problem there.
When I click on our server, the map download comes up but no downloads start. Using other servers, I can get on and play with some of them. Any ideas? Orson Welles |

Hello Demon.
Are you able to download maps / other content from other servers and then join them? Or can you only play on servers without any custom stuff? Also, have you added UT2004 as an exception in your firewall? (I think Win10 uses Windows Defender as a firewall) Did you update your game to version 3369 using the patch? Is your game installed in Program Files? Because Win10 has permission problems in that folder, so never actually install programs in that folder. If it is, you should move it to another folder.

There are some servers on the master that I can get into and play and all of them are custom.
I do not know how to do an exception. 3369 is always a given. All of my games are loaded on the "D" drive--none on "C". Orson Welles |

You need to do some basic checks to see if you can even reach the server
1) can you ping it? 2) can you establish a connection to the server's port? 3) try to disable all firewalls completely and join and see if you can ping 4) Check the server's logs if you have file access 5) Maybe you have corrupted cache, try deleting your game's cache and redownloading everything. 6) If all fails, get wireshark and observe all traffic to see if it reaches. |

Ok. Here's what it took for me to get onto the server and play:
First, completely wipe/uninstall all previous versions of the game, including the cache and all directories related to the game. Next, re-install the game along with the UT2004 mega pack with the 3369 patch. Then find the "64 bit" 3369 patch for 64 bit version online and install that patch as well. Orson Welles |

Such a weird fix, seems like you had a corrupted cache which prevented you from loading the server. maybe an exception was happening behind the scenes of ut2004's process. only that can explain why you couldn't join this server particularly.

Guess our filter for unwanted players didn’t work.
