Voted up VCTF-DGS-Dragonspire I think it's name was and resulted in repeated crash of my game, start my game and join server and crash again.

Dunno why but that map must have something wrong with it.

I had the same issue. I tried with 2 different characters.

Haven't heard of people having a problem with that map before. What sort of error did you get when it crashed?

No error, just crashed to desktop.

Were you using a medic or engineer?

Engineer

Engineer is one of the classes that you most likely crash with. It is a bug in the class. Medic and general are the others. Get used to it. If you die, you may crash. So don't die.

This was not a matter of dying, it was a matter of being able to connect to the server.

Whilst that map was on, I could not connect without crashing the game.

Next time this happens, post the end of your ut2004.log file and any error messages. It *might* help me determine the cause. (Client side crashes are tough to troubleshoot.)

Very Tough. Most of the time, the recommended solution for this type of situation was to reload the game and required updates to ensure that there was no problems associated with the client-side during the game loading. One small glich in the loading of the game can cause big headaches later on even tho the game seems to operate ok.

I know. It's a hassle. However, I reload OS and programs every 6 to 12 months anyway to keep them fresh (but that's me).
