I'm trying to protect my privacy online but so many services require phone verification now. Anyone know a way around giving out my personal number for every random website?

It's becoming a real issue. I used to use those free temporary numbers, but most big platforms have caught on and block them now. Needed one last week for a forum signup and couldn't find any that worked

Privacy has become my main concern too, especially with data breaches happening so often. For the past few months, I've been using a receive sms platform that's actually reliable. The difference is they use real phone numbers from various countries rather than VoIP numbers that get flagged. I've verified accounts on all major social media platforms, email services, and even some financial apps without issues. They maintain their number pool properly so they don't get blacklisted like most free services. The dashboard lets you manage multiple numbers simultaneously, which is perfect when you need separate identities for different projects. The best part is you can keep the messages indefinitely, unlike other services where they disappear after a few minutes
