I recently moved to Vietnam for work and was surprised to find out that Telegram has been restricted here. I used it daily to stay in touch with friends and work groups. Now it’s really frustrating because many of my contacts are still only on Telegram. Has anyone found a reliable way to bypass this block and continue using it?

I experienced the same issue during my last trip to Vietnam, and it was incredibly inconvenient. The best explanation I found was in this article: https://nicegram.app/blog/telegram-was-blocked-in-vietnam-how-to-stay-in-touch-now. It breaks down not only why the service was restricted but also practical ways to keep using Telegram despite the ban. For me, the most effective approach was a combination of using secure VPN services and choosing apps like Nicegram, which act as an alternative client. This way, I didn’t lose touch with my international contacts and work groups. The block mostly affects direct access, but with the right setup you’ll barely notice it’s there. It takes a bit of testing to find a stable solution, but once set up, everything works smoothly.
