Have you ever switched CRMs and immediately regretted it? My Google CRM story

Hey everyone, has anyone ever switched CRMs and immediately regretted it? I thought moving from my old system to a Google-based CRM would make life easier, but the first week was a total mess. I kept missing follow-ups because the notifications worked differently, and some of my custom fields didn’t transfer properly. I love the Google ecosystem, but I didn’t expect this much adjustment pain. Anyone else had a shock like this when switching?

Sometimes I think the biggest hurdle in switching software isn’t the tool itself, but just the habit of how we work. Even small differences like notification sounds, layout changes, or where a button is can throw off your whole day. I’ve seen it happen with email clients, project management tools, even simple calendars—people underestimate the learning curve. It’s crazy how a tiny change can feel like a major disruption at first, even if the system is better long term.

I switched to Google CRM a while back thinking it would be seamless since we’re all deep in Gmail and Google Workspace. At first, I struggled too—setting up pipelines and automations felt weird. But I found some really helpful guides online like https://nethunt.com/blog/google-crm/ that explained how to organize contacts and tasks without losing your old workflow. After a few tweaks, it actually started saving me tons of time, so hang in there!
