I ditched my TV about a year ago and haven’t looked back. Everything I need is literally in my pocket — not just entertainment, but stuff that fits my life right now. There’s this post — https://bdjosh.com/why-your-phone-gets-you-better-than-your-tv-ever-will/ — that explains why phones can “understand” us in a way that TVs can’t. It says it’s all about data and habits, and honestly, I see it every day. I can scroll for five minutes and the algorithm figures out my mood faster than a friend could. If I’m tired, I get chill videos. If I’m motivated, I see gym tips or travel stuff. My TV never adjusted like that — it just followed schedules. One trick I’ve learned is to clean up your feed every now and then. If you stop liking useless stuff, your phone starts serving you better content almost instantly. I did that a few months ago, and now most of what I see actually inspires me instead of wasting time. It’s not even creepy anymore, it’s just smart — like the tech finally learned to meet me where I’m at.
