My garage has become a chaotic mix of tools, old boxes, and seasonal stuff, which means there's barely room for the actual car. I’m considering adding a metal garage separately so I can reorganize everything. But before I commit, I want to know how much usable space people genuinely get out of these kits. Is the layout flexible enough to make the investment worthwhile?

Storage is one thing, but I’d also like enough room for small projects — nothing major, just basic repairs or hobbies that require table space. So I’m trying to figure out whether the interior feels cramped or open once it’s fully assembled. Hearing from someone who uses theirs day-to-day would help a lot.

The open layout was the biggest pleasant surprise. Without interior support posts, the space felt more adaptable than I expected. When I was comparing kit types, a lot of details were unclear until I looked at options on https://www.uspatriotsteel.com/metal-garage-kits/ and saw real structure dimensions explained plainly. After building mine, I ended up splitting the interior into zones — tools along one wall, storage shelves on another, and still enough space to park comfortably. It made everything easier to manage, and I finally had a spot for small projects without feeling cramped.
