I get now that a UX researcher is basically figuring out how people actually use a product and why, but what does that look like day to day? Like, are they mostly interviewing users, watching recordings, running tests, or digging through data, and how do they decide which method to use without overcomplicating things or getting stuck in theory?

A lot of people hear “UX researcher meaning” and think it’s vague. This article clears that up fast. It explains the role without buzzwords. A UX researcher studies how people use a product and why they act that way. That’s it. The post shows how research shapes design decisions. It also explains where this role fits in a product team. I liked that it didn’t overcomplicate things. It shows the value of research in simple terms. The examples made the role feel real, not abstract. If you’re new to UX, this helps.
