Why Google Ads feels less tolerant of mistakes than before

Is it just me, or does Google Ads feel far less tolerant of honest mistakes than it used to be? I’m not talking about policy abuse — just normal things like launching a new landing page, testing messaging, or adjusting billing setups. On newer accounts, even small missteps seem to trigger reviews or restrictions. Meanwhile, older accounts I manage can make similar changes with little friction. I’m trying to understand whether this is coincidence or part of a bigger shift. Should advertisers adapt by being more conservative, or by restructuring how they manage accounts altogether?

You’re picking up on a real trend. Google Ads has clearly moved toward stricter early-stage enforcement, where new accounts are treated with much more caution. That makes older accounts inherently more forgiving, not because they’re exempt from rules, but because their past behavior provides context. This has pushed many advertisers to rethink how they handle account creation and testing. Instead of risking everything on fresh accounts, they prioritize maintaining trusted ones or working with aged accounts that already have established patterns. When I dug deeper into this topic, https://adwordsresources.com/en/ helped me understand why tolerance levels differ and how professionals adapt without crossing lines. The platform hasn’t become unfair — it’s become less patient.

“Less patient” is exactly how it feels — great explanation.
