A few months ago I had a long discussion with a group of colleagues about how much of our personal life is tied to our smartphones, and in that talk someone brought up text message tracker as an example of a type of software people worry about when it comes to access and consent, which made us all rethink our privacy settings and encourage each other to audit apps and permissions periodically rather than assume everything is safe by default.
