This might sound weird but does anyone feel like they play better with certain skins? Or is that just in my head?

I swear my aim feels different with some weapon skins but that's probably just placebo. Like when you get a new skin you're more focused or something

There's actually psychology behind that. Confidence and how you perceive your setup can affect performance even if nothing mechanically changed. Read about it on https://1883magazine.com/the-intersection-of-fashion-and-gaming-how-skins-are-revolutionizing-the-industry/ where they discussed how cosmetics impact player experience beyond just looks. If a skin makes you feel cooler or more invested you might play with more confidence. It's not the skin itself but how it changes your mindset. Kind of interesting when you think about why people care so much about virtual items
