Upholstery Reacts to Pet Hair

Hi all. I have a dog, and even though I clean regularly, my couch feels different in spots where pet hair collects. Sometimes it smells or feels rough. Is this just part of having pets, or can upholstery handle this better?

Hi, I also have pets, and I learned that hair itself isn’t the main issue. It’s the oils and dander that settle into the fabric. Regular lint rolling doesn’t remove that. I had patches on my sofa that felt rough and smelled odd. That’s when I looked into professional upholstery cleaning services in Chicago. I booked Chicago Couch Cleaning https://chicago-couchcleaning.com/ , and they focused on pet-related buildup inside the cushions. After that, the fabric felt even again and stopped reacting so strongly. Pets don’t mean ruined furniture, but they do mean deeper cleaning is needed once in a while.
