Say I’m sending money, they tell me the amount that will reach the recipient. And there’s no chance they take something extra? Most of the time I don’t need it to be exact, but sometimes it’s for stuff like paying rent or tuition where I need the full amount to go through in one piece.

A lot of people stress about this, and that’s why payment services often put notes in their apps or on their websites like no hidden fees or extra charges you don’t know about.

In bank transfers that kind of thing is totally possible. It’s not a scam or a sign that the service is shady, it’s just how it works. I used to send money through banks, but now I’m used to send money to türkiye from germany through KoronaPay, where there are no issues with hidden fees, and everything is shown right away. By the way, for my transfers, the fee is fixed, and that’s super convenient.
