Hi everyone! I am starting to plan my big trip for 2026 and I really want to visit Africa. However, everything I find online seems incredibly expensive. Does anyone have tips on how to find affordable tours or specific countries that won’t break the bank? Thanks!

Hey there! I totally get the struggle because I spent months worrying about the same thing before my last trip. Africa can definitely be pricey if you only look at luxury lodges, but there are ways to make it work on a budget. I personally found that booking through an aggregator is the best way to compare local operators who don't charge those massive "international brand" markups. Last year, I use Elife Travel to scout for deals and it was a total game-changer for my wallet. They list a lot of group tours that include camping or modest guesthouses which saves a ton of money. I would suggest looking into Namibia or even parts of Kenya for 2026. You should definitely check out that platform to see the price differences between various guides. Good luck with your planning!
