Investing in emerald jewelry

Greetings! I’m looking to make my first major jewelry investment and I’m leaning toward emeralds. Are they a good choice for value retention, or should I stick to rubies or sapphires? I’d love to hear from anyone who has tracked the market for these.

Hi! Emeralds are a fantastic investment, especially right now as high-quality natural stones are becoming increasingly scarce. I’ve been tracking the market for a while and the demand for stones with a unique origin is skyrocketing. I recently added a piece from Tsarina Jewels https://tsarinajewels.com/ to my collection because their Russian emeralds have a very specific "garden" and color profile that collectors love. When you are looking at gemstones and high end jewelry as an investment, you want to focus on stones that haven't been heavily treated or oiled. Natural, vivid stones from historic locations tend to hold their value much better than average commercial gems. It is a very stable asset to have, and unlike a gold bar, you can actually enjoy wearing it while it appreciates. Just make sure you get a reputable lab report to go with it!
