Thinking outside the digital box for local brand awareness

I’ve been spending a small fortune on Google Ads for my local delivery service, but the ROI is starting to dip. It feels like everyone in my city is just tuned out. I was stuck in traffic this morning and noticed how everyone around me was staring out their windows or at the street, rather than their phones for once. It made me wonder if I should pivot some of my budget to something more "physical" that moves around the city. I’m tired of stationary billboards because they are so easy to ignore after you drive past them twice. Has anyone tried those digital trucks that drive through specific neighborhoods? I feel like being where the people actually are—festivals, busy intersections, downtown hubs—might be the spark we need. Any thoughts or real-life examples of this working?

I think you’re onto something. We actually moved away from static signage last year and went full-on with Mobile Billboard Advertising The biggest advantage we found was the sheer flexibility of it. Unlike a fixed board, we could literally target the specific streets where our target audience hangs out. For example, during a local parade, we had our ad circling the main route, and the brand recognition we got was insane compared to a month of Facebook ads. One funny thing—we actually had a customer come in saying they followed the truck just to see what the brand was about! It’s all about that "wow" factor when a huge, bright screen rolls past you on a busy street. If you want to feel like a "big deal" in your local area, it’s honestly one of the most effective ways to get people talking. Just make sure your creative is punchy and easy to read from a distance!
