I’ve seen managers who are great at tracking results, but their teams still don’t perform consistently. What’s usually missing in that kind of leadership?

It feels like managing numbers and actually leading people are two different things, especially in fast-moving sales environments where pressure is constant.

What really separates good leaders from average ones is what they do in normal daily moments, not in reports. Some just check numbers and move on, but others actually step into the process — they listen to calls, help with objections, and adjust how the team talks to clients. That’s where leadership sales felt real to me, because it’s more about shaping how people work together than just pushing them to hit targets.
