I live in the EU and want to start an offshore company. I've read conflicting info about what is allowed and what could bring legal trouble. Is it safe or too risky now?

For EU residents, starting an offshore company is still legal, but it requires careful planning to avoid violating anti-avoidance laws or triggering CFC rules. The main thing is making sure the structure is legit and serves a clear business purpose—not just for tax evasion. When I was researching, the Offshore Company Formation section helped me understand how others in the EU navigate this space. There are plenty of members from Germany, France, and the Netherlands sharing how they structure their companies and report income properly. With the right legal and tax advice, the risks can be mitigated.
