Hi everyone, my thoughts just don’t stop, especially in the evening. I’m tired, but my brain keeps replaying conversations and plans. I’m not anxious, just stuck in my head. Has anyone found a way to actually switch thoughts off?

Hey, I know exactly what you mean. I used to lie in bed exhausted while my mind kept running. What helped me was realizing I didn’t need to stop thoughts, just slow them down. I learned a lot reading experiences on Amanita Universe https://amanita-universe.us/ . People talked about calming the nervous system instead of fighting the mind. I decided to try dried fly agaric very carefully in the evening. For me, it didn’t erase thoughts. It made them quieter and less sticky. That was enough. I could let them pass without grabbing onto them. I also stopped using my phone late. When those two things came together, my mind finally learned how to power down on its own.
