Branches
The structure of our Battlefield 3 clan is based on a Landing Helicopter Assault ship (LHA). We are a Navy and Marine Corps clan. Our Marine Corps branch exists for those players that like to run and gun, get kills and blow stuff up. Since Marines do not have “medics” in real-life, and instead are provided “Corpsmen” from the United States Navy, IMF also features a Navy branch for those players who are more focused on keeping their teammates alive than running and gunning.

Ranks
Field Grade / Senior Officers – All officers in the clan are either qualified Commander Players (capable of commanding eight squads in a full 64-player match) or are qualified fixed-wing pilots. Field Grade (Marine Corps) or Senior Officers (Navy) are the chief administrators of the clan. They schedule events, keep a constant watch over clan readiness, oversee and approve all scrim strategies, are administrators for clan servers and attend to many other duties. These are IMF Marine Corps officers of the ranks of Colonel, Lieutenant Colonel and Major, or IMF Navy officers of the ranks of Captain, Commander or Lieutenant Commander.

Company Grade / Junior Officers – These officers are qualified Commander Players or fixed-wing aircraft pilots who have passed the clan’s grueling Flight School. To become an officer in the clan, a player must pass through the clan’s Officer Candidate School, which lasts up to 30 days. They are IMF Marine Corps officers of the ranks of Captain, First Lieutenant or Second Lieutenant, or IMF Navy officers of the ranks of Lieutenant, Lieutenant J. G. or Ensign.

Warrant Officers – The clan’s warrant officers are qualified helicopter pilots. To become a warrant officer a clan member must pass IMF’s challenging helicopter Flight School.

Senior Non-Commissioned Officers – Senior NCOs are the backbone of the clan’s courses instruction, discipline and gameplay superiority. Senior NCOs keep a constant watch on the skill level of every player to ensure force readiness. They are IMF Marine Corps non-commissioned officers of the ranks of Sergeant Major, Master Gunnery Sergeant, First Sergeant, Master Sergeant or Gunnery Sergeant, or IMF Navy non-commissioned officers of the ranks of Master Chief Petty Officer, Senior Chief Petty Officer or Chief Petty Officer.

Junior Non-Commissioned Officers – Junior NCOs are the clan’s squad leaders. These players are capable of commanding 3 – 7 men in battle. They are IMF Marine Corps non-commissioned officers of the ranks of Staff Sergeant, Sergeant, or Corporal, or IMF Navy non-commissioned officers of the ranks of Petty Officer First Class, Petty Officer Second Class or Petty Officer Third Class.
