I figured out at last how to cure the data differs problem. It's pretty simple. Disable the punkbuster.

I don't even have punkbuster installed, but sometimes, it also happens to me.

Yea...it's not the punkbuster.
 Now I'm banned again. I never modded a map. Never installed patch. Tried restarting the router, the comp... I'm banned from all servers now  DAMN DATA DIFFERS!!!!!!

No virus. But it became random. Sometime it lets me play a map like Hastings and than it won't let me play Irving. Or inversely.

To avoid the problem, reinstall the org-maps in the game. It might help?
C:\Program\EA GAMES\Battlefield Vietnam\Mods\BfVietnam\Archives\BfVietnam\Levels If you cant find them I can try to sprend them to you

Or just dont try it twice...
If you try to connect and it said "Data Differs" you are not banned, only if you try the second time. So, try once, if error, close game, and start new, that always worked at me. |

Ok. Next time I'll try to reinstall. But now it's ok. Did you guys install the ww2 mod? Because I read if it is installed this problem never occurs.
