There was a server update (R6) that was apparently made available on 10/30 that I installed this morning. For info, visit http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/news/view/2832654774182727981/

Also, to try and get more people into our server, I have changed the config back to the normal, non-hardcore mode that should gt populated via Quick Match. I also changed the name to suggest adding our server to favorites and to look us up on GameTracker.com so maybe we'll get more traffic, and maybe more clan members. I'll probably post something on my Facebook page too. I'm sure some of my FB friends probably play. And if they aren't in a clan, maybe they'll join. You all might want to consider that as well if you use social media.

So, our server lost visibility on Battlelog somewhere between 10:00pm and 10:30pm tonight, even though other services could connect just fine. I put in a ticket and was told that the folks at DICE were working on some of their regional servers, and that it should be back up and visible probably by 4am (PST)

A new update (R8) released today and has been installed on our server.

Change list:
* Crashfixes
* RCON bugfixes; banList.add can now ban on player name
* Fixes for team & squad handling, both during and between rounds
* Server’s online state is displayed in the “GameId:” field in the server window (see server provider documentation)
* A server that is not on the IP whitelist will disconnect/reconnect to the backend after each failed attempt at publishing itself – so you do not need to restart game servers manually after DICE has modified the IP whitelist in the backend.

Okay, so looking at the server history we have had a constant max of 8 players. I'm thinking there might have been something wonky with the server, so I reinstalled it. We'll monitor the usage, and if the pattern continues I'll submit a support ticket to look at it. It would be nice if we had enough players to really test for ourselves.

The R9 update for Battlefield 3 has been delayed until this Wednesday. This patch is expected to fix most issues you all have been having with server crashes and issues getting your servers populated / showing in battlelog.

We will keep you updated here as DICE updates us!

So I'm behind on my posts. Server crashes and difficulty getting players had been keeping us from play our server much. We are now running the R10 update. An I had to post some unpleasant comments regarding R9, let me tell you. R10 doesn't really fix much over R9, just lets us remove the idle kick setting.

Schnrd and I had a great game tonight. We are running HC with 4 player min to start (can't set lower if we wanted to due to R9, but we never really wanted to). We managed to get enough players in to start a match, and when we left over four hours later, folks were still playing. Here's hoping we keep people in there this time. I think server stability may have actually improved with the patches at least.
