Baby had an accident on the mattress

Last night our toddler had a full-blown accident on our bed. We cleaned the sheets, scrubbed the surface, used vinegar and baking soda, but that sour smell just won't go. I’m starting to think it soaked into the mattress padding itself. I don’t want to throw the whole thing out, but sleeping on it now feels impossible. Has anyone actually managed to fix something like this?

Yeah, we had that happen with our son during potty training. We tried everything — steam mop, fabric spray, and airing it out in the sun. It helped a little, but the smell kept coming back, especially after a few nights. We ended up flipping the mattress, but the other side isn’t any better. At this point I’m ready to call in someone who knows what they’re doing.

I had the exact same problem when my daughter had an accident during a nap. No home method worked and the smell was still there a week later. Late at night I searched for cleaning companies and came across https://ecoclean.ae/mattress-cleaning/ . I liked that they use high-temperature steam and eco-friendly methods. They showed up on time and completely removed the smell. Haven’t had an issue since, even with how sensitive my nose is.
