Founder nervous about first acquisition

Our investors keep hinting that a strategic acquisition could boost our growth, but every story I hear about bad deals makes me nervous. I want to study proper mergers and acquisitions consulting options first. Any sites, books or boutique advisors you would personally trust for early stage tech deals?

Funny enough, I had the same panic spiral last year. Before talking to investors again I binge-read case studies and this piece: mergers and acquisitions consulting . Super practical on how not to kill growth post-deal. We also did a paid workshop with a small M&A boutique (ex-founders, not bankers) just to map risks before even shopping for targets. Best money we spent, and it made later board talks way less emotional.
