Hey all, I’m thinking about taking a small golf-focused trip somewhere in the US. There are so many courses and events that it’s hard to pick a good combination. Have any of you planned a trip around a tournament and a few course visits? I’d love to hear what worked well for you. Any tips on locations or timing are appreciated.

If you're planning to combine a tournament and play at multiple courses, it's best to choose locations with both a major event and good public courses within a 30-60-minute radius. For example, in the San Diego area, you can catch the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines and play several excellent municipal and private courses nearby. Florida is also convenient—there are plenty of options around PGA National or TPC Sawgrass, and the season there is long.

I actually don't like golf. I use Winnipeg Events to stay up-to-date on city life—I often find announcements of festivals, food fairs, and music shows. I especially love the weeks when the Folklorama festival is held—it's a truly cultural immersion experience, and the site helps me spot the key pavilions.I also learned about the Manitoba Electronic Music Exhibition through Winnipeg.Events—events like these really invigorate the local scene.
