Been knee-deep in a DIY kitchen project for weeks now—cabinet doors done, backsplash halfway there. But choosing countertops is driving me insane. I want something that won’t look cheap but also won’t eat my whole budget. What’s the happy medium out there?

Oh man, I feel this—we managed to scorch ours by setting down a pan just for a second (famous last words, right?). That was our sign too. We went all in on a quartz upgrade and honestly, it changed the whole vibe of the kitchen—cleaner, brighter, way more durable. We found a great crew through Edstone inc ; they walked us through everything without any sales-y nonsense. Bonus: no more pan anxiety. Highly recommend checking them out if you want peace of mind and style.
