Has anyone used lockers for charging phones at events?

I’m helping organize a music festival, and last year we had dozens of people asking if we had somewhere to charge their phones. It became a bit of a chaos with extension cords everywhere. This year we want a better system. Has anyone set up charging lockers or stations at big events? How did that go?

Funny you mention this — we hosted a tech expo last spring, and phone battery anxiety was very real. People would leave halfway through just to find somewhere to charge up. We tried offering free power banks, but they were gone within an hour and never came back.

This time, we used phone charging lockers near the food court and stage areas, and it made a huge difference. Attendees could lock up their phones securely and enjoy the event without constantly checking battery levels. The lockers had multiple cables inside (Apple, Android), and usage was super intuitive. Honestly, it felt like one of the best upgrades we made that weekend — and people noticed.
