Hello ence_pence,
Thanks for your inquiry - and please excuse my late answer. We had another DayZ version running in that week (without custom hideouts, buildings and without AI), that was the reason why it was "whitelist only". Now we are running again our customized DayZ version (including custom hideouts, buildings and AI (Bandits, Heroes and Military) around the map) which does not need whitelisting at all.
