I've recently started playing 1.6 again for fun. I'm an old timer myself and realized I've been banned from this server. Never once cheated and I play CS2 quite regularly and never been banned on there. Hopefully someone can help as I'd like to play on a server with active NA players.

Welcome to STR8^MEAN, here admins will ban you if you're dare to be better than them, or because you landed a few lucky headshots.

When I first discovered the server I wondered why it was mostly filled by clan members most of the time, it was a really strange thing to see. Then after some research it became clear that the admins are old people in their 50's who cannot keep up even against people with an "average" skill level - which end up making them act very hostile towards others for no reason other than just being petty.

I'm not making this up, this is a fact and there is a clear pattern of admins consistently abusing their power because they can't have fun when you don't sit still and allow them kill you, you can see plenty of unban requests on this site and the answer always end up with "just play worse next time."

Which is just absurd, one of the replies was "if you came here to show off then this server isn't for you". No one is showing off, the bar on this server is already low enough because the admins take 3 full seconds to kill somebody, you don't have to be an "elite" player to peform against these kind of players.

There is a reason why Kirk doesn't give most of his buddies the ability to permaban people, otherwise you would see 100x more posts like these on this site. They can't be trusted with such power, and he knows it.

Their server description tells you that they're a "community for all players" and that's a lie. I understand if they want a place where they don't have to worry about getting steamrolled, the others servers are very competitive after all, but I wish they were more honest about it by making it clear in their rules, or at the very least give you a WARNING before banning you.

If i was told "X you're overperforming/killing too much, please cool down." then I seriously, 100%, would have no issue grabbing a worse gun so ALL OF US could have fun (or move to another server) but they don't give you warnings and I don't know why they don't do this to begin with, but I guess their egos are very fragile and they don't want to be honest about it.

What a shame.
