It's been almost two years since I first joined this clan, so I think you guys wouldn't mind knowing how I joined. Here is my store :

For those who have been in the clan for quite a long time still know Damian of course. Damian was one of the first members of BE and He's been my real life friend for about 3 years. One day in class I was talking about this game that I was playing named Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Damian suddenly started talking about this clan that he was in named Beasts of the East. The first time I heard the name I was laughing since I thought the name was a bit cocky. He also told me that all the people in the clan played Call of Duty, but not the one that I played. These noobs were playing the expansion pack of the very first Call of Duty named United Offensive. I watched some vids online and didn't think I would like it. After 2 weeks of whining from Damian( Which is terribly annoying I can tell ) I decided to pick up the game since it was in the store for just 5 euro. The first thing I thought when I started the game was: "These graphics are TERRIBLE!!!!!". After the initial shock I decided not to jugde the book by it's cover and started playing on the server that damian recommended for me. This server was the BE server. I was quite suprised to find out that I actually enjoyed this game. After about two weeks of playing in the BE server I got invited by Damian to join Teamspeak. When I joined Teamspeak for the first time I got welcomed by Damian and a couple of other members(don't remember which ones). I do however remember that rumble and Superman also came in later that evening.
The next day I decided to apply and I've been in the clan ever since.

I also wanted to thank every single member for being loyal and dedicated to this clan. You guys are the reason I enjoy gaming and that I try to come on Teamspeak everyday.

Aww, Im working on it as we speak. I have it as a draft and it will take many days. Your post inspired me however and I believe I will begin profiling the members based on what I know from the past. Ill post it here. Ill try and have it done for Promotions on Monday morning

[BE]Member Profiles - Part 1

The [BE] clan was first thought of by Shultz. My passion and loyalty to EW annoyed him. He felt I should be loyal in that way to my real life friends and not so much in the cyber world. My loyalty to EW he felt would transfer well to a LAN clan of the four of us(Bam Boom, Nuisance, Shultz and Wiggsy) So in August of 2009 he made a Beasts of the East clan site and named it after his highly productive Paintball Team.(They won championships and Shultz was the sharpshooter!) Shultz actually created the first Indoor Paintball field in the East Coast.(at the time he knew of no others) Well his pride in his team helped him to choose this name we have now. For a long time we used the back of his paintball teams coat for the Logo. We may go back to it, I know he would be happy. To make a long story short, I left EW and he asked me to lead BE.

I will now tell the story of how the members came to the clan based on my recollections. Remember, Im old, my memory fails me at times so.... here goes.

Murderer:
This young man was 14 when I first met him. He is 18 now. I recruited him into EW and tried to recruit his Mother and Father too. They declined many times. He left EW before me so when I joined BE he didnt come with me. I mentioned him first because I have known him the longest. Murderer is a hot headed, good kid who can be borderline snobby. He sometimes says the wrong thing at the wrong time, but he is super smart and a really genuinely nice young man. Some in the clan have a history with him(myself and Helium) but misunderstandings and pride causes that. In the end I am truly happy he is still with us. He provides insights on technical issues and will help anyone if they ask him. He likes to airsoft, LAN with his friends and spend lots of quality time with his folks. There were some bumps in the road but LOOK!! He is still here. I love ya Murderer and am glad you stayed loyal, even if you make me deal with your hot head at times.(remember Nero? I guess I was right on that one) I would like BE members to know Murderer more, maybe you guys can bother him in TS when you see him!! Say hi and get him to talk, you may find him to be as cool as I do

Damian:
Damian is no longer with us but I feel he deserves a profile. Damian was one of the first 4 members to leave EW and follow me. He was always loyal but near the end of his membership he had mixed feelings about the clan. He decided to take his talents elswhere. However when he was in BE, I mentored him and found him to be alot like myself. He is madly in love with his long time girlfriend but he still made time to attend every RICS on Sunday nights. We all really felt warm feelings for him(Shultz,Nuisance and Bam) because he tried so hard to support us. He helped me to stay on my toes and he was my first "right hand man". He was known to rage as much as me except I switched to push to talk....and he didnt...sigh lol. Much to the dismay of the rest of us we had to hear Damians' cursing from Holland without a headset. Only UO made him like that. Damian and I would spend hours pwning PME and EMP and we found great joy doing so . We miss you Damian and are happy you found a home in EW. You were a great clanmate and was a valuable member of the clan the whole time you were here. Come see us and say Hi and maybe we can get that Tourney started.

Toysoldier:
Thats right Toy, you read that correctly. Toy has a special place in my heart and not only because he was loyal. He had a very tough last 4 years and his life has been full of pitfalls. He lost his loved ones :"( !! But Toy is the kind of guy you want to go to war with you. He will do whatever it takes to win and will have your back to the end. We know that because Toy succumbed to the temptaion of hacking and OWNED up to it right away. He is a very good player without hacking and I forgave him due to the nature of what he dealt with each day and his honesty about it all. To me, Toy deserved preferential treatment from me. Those who were around then know how many times I booted him and brought him back. I love Toy, he can be abrasive and some may not get along with him, but I know him on the inside and I know he is someone I can respect regardless of the past. He is clean now and has much experience with spotting hackers now! Understandable, but I would love it if the rest of the clan would think about all the great things Toy did for BE. He had so many ideas and some of them we tried. He was always dedicated to making BE better and for that, Thanks Toy, you will always be my friend!

Helium:
Helium was with me every step of the way in EW first and then BE. The moment I left EW, he did also. Never waivering he supported me then. Even when he hates my decisions he had my back. Helium is truly a hot head also(hmmm a pattern is developing here). He is known to say how he feels and not think it through. Sounds like me right? He left for an extended period but due to the nature of his strong character, and my appreciation of him, I left him on LOA for over a year. It was worth it because he is back with a vengeance. School has kept him from us right now but he'll be back. He always comes back, i'll be waiting to rage on him when he does Thats because Helium was always the best player with a sniper I ever saw...until stupid gustavo came along Come back and lets pwn gus together Hel lol.

Rumble:
Rumble was a banana sniper from EW. Again, I recruited him and then kicked him out lol. He was talking smack to me about bananas and it annoyed me. When I left he came to the BE server apologizing for the banana thing and applied. We still laugh about that to this day. Rumble was young when he first joined the clans. He was silly, smart and sarcastic. I think he watches too much american TV or something because I didnt think Holland had comedians. Well Rumble has been making me laugh and cry for close to 4 years now. I personally, think hes an awesome kid with a bright future. Most people like him but may become annoyed with his jokes, that only pleases him more Rumble wasnt as dedicated early on as Toy and Damian were due to his age and restrictions from his parents. He is now a huge asset. Rumble and I have a past and we are at opposite ends of the faith spectrum but we never let it get in the way of respecting eachother. Rumble left the clan once and begged to come back. His words were "I dont hate you, hate is too strong, maybe its more like I dislike you but I respect you". That was exactly the kind of honesty I love and it made me love Rumble. Thats funny right, he said he doesnt like me and I end up loving him. Christians sure are weird! Rumble, thanks for being here and you are the PR lead forever bud. Ill make sure of it!

I profiled the first 4 members who joined or had a history with me. Ill try to go in order. My next post will feature the arrival of Superman, Charlie, Devil Dog, 9dragon, Big Pappy, Iori and Ranger. The profiles after these guys may get shorter but it doesnt mean they werent as appreciated. Its just that with longer histories, there is more to say.

I loved being in BE and still look back at the work we did and the clan you mostly created. I never saw what i worked for but now when im out i see how steady it has become.
I think you did a pretty damn good job realising schultzes wish

I should stop by some time so we can play old times HQ sometime, maybe organize a reunnion after almost 2-3 years?

ps. I retired at EW cause i couldn't get together what we have started at BE. Didn't got the fun out of it wich it expected to get. Im a free man again and probably ain't gonna join a clan for awhile lol. (ill be around under the name *WhySoSerious?!)
