Well, Some of you might already know about this but Wargaming.net (The same guys who made World of Tanks and who are making World of Battleships) have recently put World of Warplanes into global alpha! This means you can apply over at their website (log in with your WoT account if you have one

I can imagine this
nice, ww2 planes in huge battles.  It would be nice if there would be gametypes like defend the bombarder or something like that.  But I guess there is no gametypes in WoT or WoB |
