idk, never bought a preboxed pc. As far as I know you'll get more bang for your buck in a desktop and they're much easier to repair if a part goes out. A laptop might come in handy for lan parties, taking with you to boring events or on vacation, or school, but when it dies you've got a much more serious problem.
never having shopped for preboxed PCs, I first checked newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883147742 ^^^^^ (refurbished/used)this has integrated graphics included, which will be a nightmare for gaming, but is listed with a PCI-E x16 slot. This opens the option of buying a decent gaming video card for little money(maybe $30-$50, lowend) I tried ebay's "buy it now" section next. in the $100-200 range all you get is a sea of terrible Dell Optiplex's or it's equivalent. They've got good reliable parts with decent specs....but integrated graphics and no expansion options, which eliminates them as a gaming option. I tried walmart, this is their lowend: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Acer-EL1352G-41w/15686810 has lowend geforce integrated graphics which would satisfy your need until you could utilize the PCI-E x16 slot and double/triple your frame rate for UO, and open your world to higher end games. maybe someone can quote you a price on a lowend custom built PC ![]()

I have a HP laptop, intel i7, nvidia graphics card, not very good, but it's great for gaming i think. It was about 1400euros, but i bet u can find it cheaper on internet! great pc, really.

I am currently working on my teachers Dell XPS labtop and its nice and all but you get a lot more bang for the buck with a Desktop. Also remember how manufacturers rip you off. You are paying for the name brand. If i see another Mac suggestion.......I will have to hammer you hard with all the FACTS about how horrible Macs are for gaming....and just about everything else. ![]() |

Reiterating on laptops for gaming, I actually bought a laptop for other things and tried UO on it, specs:
2.2Ghz Dual core 2GB DDR2 RAM 200GB sata hdd Geforce 6 or 7 series integrated mobile graphics it bearly pulled 30-40 FPS. and you can never upgrade it. PLUS THE STUPID GFX CHIP GOT SO HOT THAT IT DIED. ![]() |
