First, what happened to the BFG server?
Now, I downloaded the Padmaps map pack. It has a number of zipped files which I unzipped. Only one of them had a .pk3 file in it - the others all have .bsp or .aas files. I have no idea what to do with those. And what about all the other stuff in there? Levelshots, models, sounds, textures, scripts, etc. Where does all that stuff go? I'm sure it used to be simpler than this - you just downloaded the .pk3 file and added it to the baseq3 folder. . The desire to be a politician should bar you, for life, from ever becoming one. Pak...
The .bsp and .aas files are essential to the operation of the map itself. The .ass is the art file I think, don't really remember, and the .bsp I think is the start up file... but nevertheless.. Don't worry about the map packs and what's in them. I'm going to email you the links to the pad maps stored on my fileshare. Each link is a map. Just direct it to your baseq3 and you're done. Pak...
Two emails sent. One with links for 5. Next email had 3 zipped into one but I fear it won't get through the email police. If it bounces back I'll upload those three to links like the first email. And as far as the BFG server goes... it appears the NAME changed, but the IP stayed the same????? This is the IP that used to be CBC BFG server... I don't know what the current admins are doing.. but here's the addy I have: 82.74.201.123:27961 *[Z-G]*BFG+HOOK Fry ![]() |
