Hi and thanks for letting me in your clan. This is my first clan (in this game! I am active in others too), so I am not totally sure what is expected and/or what the benefits are?

I am currently level 9 and just managed to save up enough to get a Vengance though only 1 drone so far and still mainly credit only shields/weapons.

Is there a hidden area? As I do not seem to be able to see anything else here :s

Let me say welcome to you deathisnear, i hope your stay in this clan is happy one.
I should first make clear this clan is not a clan totally of my creation so perhaps i am not the most qualified to speak about it, but i am the current leader. when i joined, a few months back, the leader was a player called WELSHSTUD. he still comes back from time to time so he may well be in charge for some of your stay. he handed the reins of control over to BLOOD as he would not be playing so much, who in turn handed leadership onto me, as he was offered a place in the elites only clan LSD [legion of spartan destroyers]. So here i am.

The expectations of this clan are simple if, as i hope is the case, you are a player of sound moral fibre. Just conduct yourself with honour and dignity and you will be fine. Help where possible and you shall recieve help in return. Earn respect for your clan, and you shall be rewarded with respect. Earn credits and experience for yourself, and the clan will reward you with credits on payday.

You sound like your doing well, a vengeance is a nice ship and the credit only shields are ok too.You now have a few routes to choose, in that once you are earning credits and uri you will be able to spend this on a few different things. One thing you could do is bid on a goliath. Or you could try and upgrade first, and in turn, upgrade either you lasers, shields or engines. Or of course purchase more drones. i would suggst this lastly however. A common theory is shields then lasers then drones then engines. An intriguing method would be engines first, the vengeance is a very fast ship to begin with, ram it with elite engines and very few goliaths could keep up with you long enough to do much damage. Of course the most sensible though is probably a mixture of everything. But only you can decide. And Good Luck with that.

as for that question, do you mean here on gametracker or on dark orbit?

I was wondering if there was a hidden area in the forums as there were no post visible when I joined.

My current config is:

Offence: 5x LF3 Lasers / 9x MP1 lasers
Defence: 2x Elite shields (10k ea)
Engines: 9x Elite engines (10) / 1x Normal (5) <-- still saving to bid on that final elite one. Speed currently 455

Drones: 2x Flax / 1x IRIS

Also: level III repair bot / Cargo doubler

Am currently just killing as many NPCs as I can to get credits to bid for more upgrades. I plan to get this ship maxed out before moving to Goli.

Payday will I am sure come in very handy as bidding takes a lot of credits but I try and do when server is quiet and often get things a LOT cheaper than your post in tips.

Just to let everyone know I am still playing just off on holiday until 5th August.
