** WORK IN PROGRESS **
Training Schedule For "Newbie" Pilots: Welcome Trainee Pilots to the JayAce Training Academy, over the next few hours you will be taught by expert Dark Orbit gamers how to become one of the Elite and how to become an active member of one of the highest ranking clans in the galaxy...... The Celtic~Warriors [C~W]. You have been taken into the training clan Celtic~Cubs [C~Cb] with warm and welcome arms, we do not prejudge and all are welcome, however we ask that whilst you are under our wings you please respect our clan ethics and obey the very few and simple rules that we have. At no time will we ask you to go above and beyond your duty and the aim of this game is to have fun!!! Day 1: Welcome To Celtic~Cubs... We ask that you please download and install the GSC Client which is a chat screen enabling us all to keep in touch easily and in private. The instructions can be found *here*. Once online with GSC you will introduced to your flight instructors and the ranking officers of Celtic~Cubs and Celtic~Warriors. We will also show you our clan forum and ask that you read the "Tips" section there which has lots of very useful information which will be invaluable throughout your career. Day 2: Welcome To The Galaxy... You will be taken out with your designated Training Officer(s) and shown the "ropes", this will include the various types of flying we carry out and attack manouveres such as "The Drag", "The Circle" and the "Run & Jump". Once your Training Officer is happy that you have completed these manouveres successfully you will graduate the 1st phase of your training!! WELL DONE!! Day 3: The Battle Begins... You will now be taken out with your designated Flight Instructor and shown how to effectively deal with the real world of Dark Orbit. Once in a while we all suffer a defeat in battle so it's quite important that you pay attention to your Uridium balance, we MUST ensure this never drops below 1000 but don;t worry right now because your instructor will tell you all you need to know about that and how to collect more. You will carry out your 1st major attack & kill today of a large NPC (such as a Devolarium or Sibelon) and your skills you learnt in Day 2 will shine through and help you become teh best you can be. After a few succesful attack runs you will be given the opportunity to collect some valuable resources and carry out your 1st quest!! From here on in it gets very exciting Day 4: It's Time To Upgrade... Now that you have carried out and completed your 1st few quests, have levelled up a few times and have some credits in the bank it's time to get you a nice shiny new ship and some shields/engines/weapons to go with it. Your designated Flight Instructor will take you out on the hunt to build up your credits, this will be enough for you to buy your new ship... The "BigBoy" and some carefully selected extras which will be pointed out to you at the time. Then after some setup it's time to take her for a spin round the galaxy!! Day 5+: Well for the near future it's time to settle into teh daily game routine of Dark Orbit which involves levelling yourself up to gain access to the higher maps, better ranks and completing even more daring and dangerous quests. You'll gradually build up your ships weaponry and soon you'll be ready to join teh ranks of teh Celtic~Warriors once you reach level 11.... No doubt in your brand new shiny Goliath battlecruiser with a full arsenal of powerful lasers and rockets!! To Be Continued.... |

Celtic~Cub Rulebook:
1. You MUST NOT steal cargo from another players NPC kill, cargo from an enemy ship you have destroyed is quite rightly yours so grab it!! Occasionally a cargo steal is carried by accident but the "blue timer" cargo feature should eliminate most of this. If you are, however, reported to be stealing cargo you will be given a strike... A 2nd strike will mean ejection from the clan. 2. You MUST NOT initiate an attack on another VRU player unprovoked. - If you are attacked by a VRU it is always acceptable to defend yourself, however only you know how this is best, as every situation is different. The best method can take two main routes; flee for a portal or attack. If you will not survive an encounter then try to escape. If you decide to attack, you think you will win this battle you can either chase him down when he flees and kill him or let him escape when he runs. I tend to frighten people off and let them run, as this has no repurcussions, but if he has attacked you, he asked for it. - If a VRU has stolen your cargo it is only natural for you to be angered by this, but it doesnt justyify killing him. If he is from a clan, report it to me, if outside of a clan deal with him as you see fit. If you suspect someone is going to try and steal your cargo it is common to shoot him off to scare him away, but killing is uncalled for and again if he is in a clan do not attack him, if he does steal the cargo, report him to me. - Outlaws; if they are outside of a clan then by all means, teach them a lesson for their treachery, if they are in a clan do not attack. It is common for clan members to hunt together and a common method for sharing wealth on these hunts was cargo in return for help. When the honour system was introduced alot of innocent parties got stuck with an outlaw tag so do not think they are honourless scum, not all of them are. |
