my comp was doing scheduled sweep and it quarantined punkbuster because I guess it thought it was spyware or something, so I clicked restore punkbuster but whenever I go on ET and click "enable punkbuster," nothing happens and I can't get on server. Any help appreciated, sorry for inconvenience

Sound to me like you need to enable communiction in you firewall settings for punkbuster if you restored the files. Sometime when we can make a time for me to be online to see the error or you can send me if you have been given one.

Go to www.evenbalance.com and download the pbsvc and it will fix most any problems on any OS .

well it may for u ,but OS messages aren't fixed with updating or reinstalling et for me, i usually gotta wait a whole day and i come back next day and its fixed lol ^^
