mmm my brother wants to play on basicmaps or battlefield in other computer, but.... every time he put the IP... it appears ...."protocol mismatch between client and server".... what can he or can i do ??????

actually im having the same problem my computer crashed so i had to download ET all over again and the 2.60 patch now im getting the same error message "protocol mismatch between client and server" am i running wrong version of ET??? i need advice not dumb comments...sorry lord...

i deleted ET completely from my computer and re-installed it and its working fine and i can play on our servers just dont have my admin lvs set. 40 for basic maps and 60 for battlefield and i have no XP

Currently we dont run version 2.6b basicmaps and battlefield run 2.55 with no patches needed. On the xp and level if you did not backup your etkey like in the post said above then you xp is lost forever and someone will have to reset your level. I will try to come when i can see you online and fix your level and give you some xp but I usually just level you up to around 5000 xp and with all skills level 9 so the rest of the xp isnt going to make any difference just only shows your total playing time.

I have a problem getting onto the Grey server sometimes, but I just start my ET over and it usually works. I'm using Windows Vista and its a real pain in the @$$, but if I restart ET it usually solves any server errors I see.
