We're not sure if you've heard, but CritFest is back and better than ever! We re-launched Server #1 on August 29th, and Server #2 (Low Grav 100% Crits) just came back up September 19th, 2015. We've seen a lot of old faces since our return, and some new ones too, it feels good to be back, it feels like we never left. A lot of things haven't changed, the servers are modded in the same way, a lot of the same people are still around, but some things have gotten an overhaul, mostly our Community Forum Board. What's New? In the spirit of new beginnings we've made some refreshing changes. The first thing we did was give our Forum a facelift, and we think you'll enjoy the upgrades, layout and new features. We wanted to make the CritFest forum more inviting and socially connected. So here's what we did: New Features on the Forum: - Streamlined Forums - New Theme with changeable background - Facebook and Steam login integration - New Rep System with a "Like" feature for posts and comments - Follower and Activity Feed options to customize your Activity Stream, giving you the ability to Follow people and have other people Follow you, enabling users to receive updates on new posts and content from members of their choosing - Updated Profiles with customizable Background and Cover Photos - Functional Calendar More to come! Important to Note: After the recent forum upgrade, "Display Names" have taken the place of "Login Names" and functions as both, so when logging into the forum you must either use your Display Name, along with any special characters included therein, or you can use the email address associated with your forum account. If you've forgotten your password, you can easily recover it by following the prompt the password recovery option gives you. New Additions to the Server: We've installed a new "Call an Admin" feature that allows you to notify an admin of misconduct even if the admins are out of game. Simply type "!call" in chat and follow the prompts. It's simple and easy to use. - End Round Visibility. After the round has ended, the outline of the losing team's characters can be seen through the walls of the map, just as the Flag and Cart can be seen through walls when the setting for it is enabled - Price Check Mod. We've re-added the Price Check mod. Players can now check the current price of any TF2 item by typing "!pc [Insert Item Name]" into chat Sign up on our forum and experience the changes for yourself, we'd love to hear from you, and hope to see you in the servers soon! Other Games We haven't lost our taste for Team Fortress 2, but we have expanded our horizons when it comes to online gaming. When we're not gibbing it up in TF2, we're playing Grand Theft Auto V and Battlefield 4. We have a blast together in our Mumble Voice Server, and we welcome you to join us! Your generosity means a lot to us, and as a thank you, we provide all donors with some convenient complimentary perks that make your gaming experience more enjoyable, and stress free. Complimentary Donor Perks: - Reserve slot on all CF Servers. When the server is full, your slot is reserved so you can always play when you want to! Donors cannot be kicked to make room for another Reserve Slot user, so you never have to worry about interrupted play. - Class Limit Immunity. CritFest has Class Limits on its TF2 Servers, after that limit has been reached, Donors can still play whichever Class they want, even if the Class is full. - SaySound Permissions. Donors are able to take advantage of our SaySound system, which allows our donors and admins to play sound clips in the TF2 Servers. - Intro Sounds. Donors are allowed to request a song or a sound clip that plays every time they enter or exist a server. - Webmail. Donors who give $25 or more can request a free critfest.com email address. Donation Rates: $5 - 1 month $10 - 3 months $15 - 4 months $20 - 6 months $30 - 8 months $40 - 10 months $50+ - 1 Year $100+ - Lifetime (Donate) Second Chances If you've received this email and you are banned from the servers, we're lifting the bans of many players who were banned in the past, within reason. If you are banned, and you would like a second chance, please Submit a Ban Appeal and we'll answer your request in a timely manner.
