The Tanks DM server has new custom maps. We have added the OpenWarfare mod to the Tanks server along with 2 new maps. One of these maps even has Half tracks and plenty of tanks.
I will be looking at some other maps over the week end. Please let me know what you all think.

Geronimo, personally I loved the old server, and I am positive that I'm not the only one. The thing I definately do not like is the fact that there are BOTS. I played SOF2 and 1 for many many years during thier hayday, and what did those games in for me is the bots it got boring playing against a mindless predictable bot, and what made it worse was losing a map because someone got a better run at them than the other. Thats what usually lead to the end of some of the best FPS games. Another thing I don't like is the fact that everybody is the same, many of us worked our way up in the ranks and earned our prestige, we worked hard for many many hours to earn our prestige and our perks, and now all someone has to do is simply install a mod and presto, instant prestidge? Not to mention you will no longer earn any points? youll always have the commander rank, wheres the challenge or point in that? Look at the list of the top 20 players I am pretty sure they are all in the same thought process as I am we all loved that server. Some of my funnest gaming time has been on that server. I don't mean to right a book here but you asked people to tell you what they think, and I feel that the Tank server was one of the finest servers I ever played at, there was such an awesome balance of players there, almost all of the other free for all servers are loaded to the hilt with spawn camping, and martyrdom, you cant even spawn safely until youve been spawn killed 50 times. That stuff didn't happen at the Tank server because of the skill and quality of the people who played there. I hope you don't take this wrong I am just stating that DDD | Tanks was never broke, it didn't need fixing. Sincerely DraKulh....

I have spoken to many regulars on the server and I have received nothing but compliments on the change to that server. As far as the bots: they're only alive when the server gets restarted and do not respawn once they are killed or the map rotates. They are only on temporarily to help attract players to the server and will be removed soon.
As you may or may not know, there won't be any more stock maps released for that game and playing the same old 4 tank maps is stating to get old. The only way to add custom maps is with a mod. I will be having some custom tank maps made and you can expect to see these new maps in the near future. The game has been around for almost 2 years now and the servers are dying out little by little. The only chance the game has to remain interesting is with new maps.
As far as ranks go: many players are already ranked up and not many new players coming on board, but the few that do come onto the server may appreciate being power ranked so they can have a level playing field.
Please trust me on this and continue to support the server with your presence. If we keep it populated it will become a favorite to many new players as well as the old regulars.
You will be seeing more DDD members on the server every day as our BC2 servers are full most of the time so they jump on the Tanks server.

Geronimo I just wanted to say THANKS!!! you brought back the Tank server to it's origonal settings and thats just damn awesome! I have played there the last two days with all of the cool fraggers, players like Marlboro man Larcher, Danutz, names to many to name.
But its great that we all get to hang out and frag together on that fine server, I am hard up on cash ATM but when things get better I will do my best to help donate and keep that server alive.

Glad to know you guys are happy. As you know, it takes money to run these servers. We want to hold on to that box for CoD Black Ops but if we don't get any support we will have no choice but to shut it down. Hope some of the others will come thru and help support it
