About Us

DIWG is a small group of Mature players (when Sober) who play Combined Ops for something to do on our downtime from RL stuff. We started off with Vanilla OA and have since upgraded by adding the ACE Mods. We decided to buy our own server (based on the West Coast), since playing on a dedicated home server was cumbersome and bandwidth was not guaranteed. We now have a stable server that has attracted members from as far as England (pinging 180) with no lag. We also found that we wanted a degree of realism, and I say degree, because FUN comes first, however,we found that there is more fun and pride gained from completing the Main objectives, or even side missions with the basis of Minimizing Deaths and No Man Left behind. Scores and Kills mean nothing to us .. finishing the job with ZERO deat [show more] hs is the goal :-P.
We started playing a little more seriously and although midweeks on our server and small clan is quiet (so have at it and have fun), we all try to get together at the weekends, FRI SAT SUN and put together some Bang Up Fun. Currently our server is usually close to 10/10 Fri and Saturday and we're upgrading to 20 man soon.
Currently playing Domination Takistan ACE REVIVE, but rotate every couple of weeks (Just finished a 2 week stint of Fallujah with ACE).
We run ASR_AI Server side to enhance the AI Gameplay - it is NOT required Clientside
All mods and changes are communicated through our website and there is help and training a plenty should you struggle with mods / updates

We are looking for more members to grow the guild, preferably mature people, that play casually, but when they sign on they want to be part of a team or sortie that involves working together. No Han Solo's or Score Orientated People. We're more than happy to help newcomers learn but expect the favor in return, should you start playing regularly on the server and wishing to join DIWG.

We currently run Ventrilo on the server and prefer if at least people join to listen in, as it reduces the amount of typing required when new players / members join.

In short, you will have to have the 1.60 OA version or Combined Ops and the LASTEST ACE installed as we update biweekly on average. We see MANY people unable to join, as they have not updated their ACE version in a long time.
We recommend using sixupdater for updating and installing mods as it simplifies installation and guarantees that our clan runs the same versions, hence minimizing lag and errors.

Requirements of this server is that you drink at least some poor quality beer whilst playing.
